Whilst pursuing their intrepid foray into new musical territory, Coldplay teamed up with a special producer for their latest single, “A Sky Full Of Stars”. Oh, and that producer is only a guy called Avicii – whom you may know as the biggest EMD artist in the world right now. The new single is off the band’s sixth studio album Ghost Stories, which will be released on May 19, 2014.
Coldplay have had the twitterverse in a frenzy with their scavenger hunt (#lyricshunt) – a chance for fans to find lyrics from each song on the album, hand written by Chris Martin himself. Nine envelopes are hidden in nine different library books across the globe – with one of them containing a special ‘golden ticket’ to see Coldplay in July, at The Royal Albert Hall in London.
The books in question are all related to ghost stories, referencing the new album’s title. Despite some initial fan frustration, the band have been regularly releasing clues to the book name, and library location. Lyrics have so far been discovered in Mexico City, Singapore, Helsinki, and Barcelona, the latter also hosing the ‘golden ticket.’ Will Australia get a look in?
