Field Day Lineup Announced!

18f440b853261799c90eb00727c860691-640x359Sydney’s annual New Year’s Day festival Field Day is on again in 2014 and the lineup is looking pretty damn good. The day-long festival is being held at the Domain and Fuzzy have produced an extra special lineup featuring a great mix of local and international acts, including the likes of Julio BashmoreA$AP Rocky, Solange, The Wombats, London Grammar, Flight Facilities, Chet Faker and Flume. The festival’s eclectic mix of artists and genres is sure to appeal to a range of different music lovers to make for a day that will hopefully kick off a great new year!

Fuzzy director John Wall says “We started Field Day to provide a smart alternative to the letdown that new year’s eve can often turn out to be. 12 years on that’s as true as ever!”

Though I’m yet to attend a Field Day, Music Feeds and Pages Digital have both declared that it is “A strange hybrid of music, happiness and the feeling of a New Year pooled together to make” and that “A heavy hipster turnout saw plenty of short-sleeve button-ups and weird, socially unacceptable haircuts, which also complimented a distinct lack of rambunctious roid-munchers.” Sounds pretty good to me.
