Kings of Leon, Sydney Harbour and a mechanical bull usually wouldn’t have anything in common. But on November 18th, the three will be coming together for an exclusive money-can’t-buy event. The Nashville rockers will be making their return to Australia to showcase tracks off their most recent pride and joy, Mechanical Bull. This is their sixth album since their debut in 2003, and features tracks ‘Supersoaker’ and ‘Wait For Me’.
But oh no, this isn’t your usual buy-your-ticket-online kind of gig. Intrigued? Here’s how it works: When Mechanical Bull is released on September 20th, Channel (V) and Triple M will begin their journey around Australia. They’ll be hitting up Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, armed with a legit mechanical bull and a double pass, flights and accommodation on offer for each city. All YOU have to do is ride the bull for the longest.
Of course, a gig with only 10 people in the crowd would be a bit lame so if you’re too scared to risk your ego in front of your entire capital city (or it turns out that you just don’t possess vital life-long skills such as mechanical bull riding), you’ll have another chance to win tickets on their website from September 30th. Keep up to date on those extra tickets here and here. Good luck!
