Lime Cordiale Release Video For ‘Bullshit Aside’

Sydney based five-piece Lime Cordiale have released the video for their new single ‘Bullshit Aside’. The track reminds me of an Aussie summer, an idea that is channelled perfectly through the film clip. Directed by the band’s co-frontman and part-time film maker Oli Leimbach, the video features over 60 of the band’s friends in a myriad of different costumes, plus one buck naked gentleman.

The track itself is distinctly different from the current trends in the Australian indie rock scene. As the first single from their upcoming EP Falling Up Stairs, ‘Bullshit Aside’ is fun, upbeat and danceable. The chorus is catchy as hell, with an infectious hook that is made better by a big brass sound. The drums and percussion make me think of The Beach Boys, sending out some really good vibrations (pun intended). Quirky lyrics and Oli and Loius‘ vocal harmonies top it off, to make ‘Bullshit Aside’ one of the best Australian alternative rock songs I’ve heard in a while.

Have a listen, it’ll get stuck in your head.
